The following modifications have been put into place at our facility to keep our staff and the public safe while continuing to be available for you.

We have split our staff into two teams to minimize the risk of potentially having all of the staff out sick at any one time. Therefore, we are minimally-staffed and need to keep our phone lines free for modified operations as described below:

CLINIC HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Currently scheduled appointments, surgery, and emergencies only. There MAY be spaces available each day for same-day appointments/drop off appointments. Please call to find out what is available that day. Emergencies take priority, our triage protocol has not changed.

Please phone 780-826-2188 on arrival for your scheduled appointment or drop off. One of our staff will call you when we are ready for you to bring your animal to the door, and we will take your pet from you.

The Veterinarian will conduct the appointment with the pet without the owner present in the clinic, and will communicate via telephone.

Please note there has not been a change in the provision of After-Hours Emergency Services.

We have requested many changes to the ways we do business during regular working hours (requesting texts and emails), however when we are closed, the clinic cell phone is NOT monitored. The cell phone is forwarded to the Dr. on-call; but only phone calls are forwarded; texts and pictures do NOT get forwarded and are not seen until the next business day.

It is important to know that if you have an After Hours Emergency, you still need to CALL to reach the Doctor.

Payment will be by e-transfer, or we will bring the portable debit/credit machine to the parking lot for payment. No cash will be accepted at this time.

Thank you again for helping us continue to serve our community as safely as we can through these changes.

In an effort to reduce foot traffic in the clinic, and keep our staff and community safe, we are implementing the following effective Mar 20, 2020.

There is NO charge to delivery services to help keep everyone as safe as possible.

***Please REFRAIN from calling the main line, we are MINIMALLY staffed and need to keep the lines available for emergency calls.***

Please TEXT (780) 815-5896 or EMAIL [email protected] the following information:

  • First & Last Name on account
  • Pet’s Name
  • Type of Food and Size Requested OR Name of Prescription and current dosage being given
  • Phone number you can be reached at
  • Address (for in-town delivery with unique features of house (ie: colour of door) (Note: Out of town delivery also available to predetermined meeting point locations)
  • Desired method of payment (credit card over the phone or e-transfer)

One of our staff will be in touch with you to obtain payment and also any necessary clarifying questions. For our rural clients, there will be three options for mutual meeting points, you will be able to choose which best suits your needs. Our delivery person will be in touch with you prior to delivery to discuss your options.

Deliveries will be prepared daily (Mon-Fri) by 3 pm, and are planned to be delivered between 3:30-5:30 pm (approximately).

If you require something the same day but it is after the 3 pm cut off, please text 780-815-0859 and they will arrange a parking lot exchange with you.

Please help us remain available to you (as an Essential Service) and keep everyone safe. Reduced traffic and phone calls to the main lines will help our split-staff teams continue to serve the community in the days ahead. I also encourage you to follow our Facebook Page, as it’s the quickest way to get information out as it changes; which in these unprecedented times, seems to be quite frequent.

Thank you! Your Bonnyville Vet Clinic Team
