The following modifications have been put into place at our facility to keep our staff and the public safe while continuing to be available for you.

We do not have the room in our clinic to physically distance from our clients during exams and procedures as per the government guidelines; therefore we are continuing with drop-off only appointments at this time.  Our type of work is such that we can not physically distance from each other, and therefore to maintain the safety of our staff and our clients, and to ensure we are available to our community, this is a precaution we must take.  A sudden influx of COVID cases in our area may facilitate a move back to shortened hours and split staff.  If this becomes the case, it will be updated here and on our Facebook page. 

CLINIC HOURS: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and alternating Saturdays with our sister clinic from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

We are booking surgeries in advance, and run a “Curb-side Walk-in Clinic” daily from 11 am to 1 pm.  These spots are not booked in advance.  On arrival to the clinic, watch for the Walk-in Clinic Registration sign to turn to OPEN (green), and then send a text to 780-815-5896 with your pet’s name, your last name, the reason for being seen, and vehicle make & colour you are in.  Registration typically opens 20 minutes prior to the clinic starting; however delays in surgery or emergencies may require the clinic starting late or being cancelled.  It is still best to call the clinic at 780-826-2188 prior to coming to ensure walk-in is running as planned.

For the afternoons, we have pre-booked drop-off appointment spots – patients arrive prior to 2:00 pm, and appointments are completed between 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm.  These appointments are triaged, therefore we can’t guarantee a time they will be done, but we do aim to have all of these appointments completed by 4:30 pm.  As always, if emergencies come into the clinic, scheduled appointments may run behind.

DO NOT COME INTO THE CLINIC ON ARRIVAL 

Please phone 780-826-2188 on arrival for your scheduled drop-off.  One of our staff will ask what type and colour of vehicle you are driving, then we will come to the parking lot to collect your pet from you.

The Veterinarian will conduct the appointment with the pet without the owner present in the clinic, and will communicate via telephone.  Please ensure you are available to speak by phone during the entire appointment period.

*AFTER-HOURS EMERGENCY SERVICES*

Please note there has not been a change in the provision of After-Hours Emergency Services.

We have requested many changes to the ways we do business during regular working hours (requesting texts and emails), however when we are closed, the clinic cell phone is NOT monitored. The cell phone is only monitored during Curbside Walk-in.  In the evening, calls are forwarded to the Dr. on-call; but please note that texts and pictures do NOT get forwarded and are not seen until the next business day.

It is important to know that if you have an After Hours Emergency, you still need to CALL to reach the Doctor.

Payments accepted at this time are:  E-transfer, credit care over the phone, or we will bring the portable debit/credit machine to the parking lot for payment. Cash payments are discouraged at this time.

FOOD & PRESCRIPTION PICK-UP

CLIENTS:

Please call the clinic at 780-826-2188 with the following information:

  • First & Last Name on account
  • Pet’s Name
  • Type of Food and Size Requested OR Name of Prescription and current dosage being given

Prescriptions require a minimum of 1 hour notice to prepare, and can be picked up anytime after 1 pm the same day.  Food sales will be prepared in advance, and be ready for you to pick up; just call on arrival to the clinic and we will deliver it to you in the parking lot.  Food can be picked up at any time during the day.
