Full-Time RVT’s required in our expanding support staff team!!  

 Bonnyville Vet Clinic is a busy 3.5 Doctor, mixed-animal practice located in the community of Bonnyville, AB. 

  Our ideal candidate is highly motivated and energetic, with excellent communication skills, and willing to work shared on-call.  Reliability, communication, providing client satisfaction and team commitment are of utmost importance to our work family.  Our progressive practice provides many diverse learning opportunities as well as offering variety in your role, you’ll never be bored!  We use our RVT’s to the fullest extent!  The practice has a high pace of work, which means we are looking for an applicant who is passionate about the job, wants to learn a broad range of skills and has a strong work ethic. 

 Your tasks will include: Assisting Doctors during exam room procedures, anesthetic induction & monitoring during surgeries, treatment of patients and discharging surgery cases, conducting blood draws and in-house laboratory analyses, routine dental prophylaxis including full mouth digital radiographs, as well as gaining experience in emergency situations and after hour emergency care with both large and small animal patients.

We are growing again!  Come and join our team in a fast-paced, progressive and newly renovated mixed animal practice. 

Our ideal VA is looking for a fun and challenging career working as an important team member within our busy clinic.  Experience working with cattle and horses is preferred. Reliability and work ethic is of utmost importance, as well as strong organization, communication, teamwork and computer skills.  A structured Veterinary Medical Assistant course is not a requirement to apply.  This position is full time hours, with shared on-call responsibilities.

Your tasks will include (but not be limited to):  Cleaning and maintaining kennel areas; assisting with small animal and large animal procedures and appointments; cleaning instruments and replenishing surgical packs including proper autoclave use and gas sterilization; unpacking and verifying orders on arrival and preparation of outgoing orders; opening and closing the clinic as scheduled; as well as gaining experience in emergency situations and after hour emergency care.  Maintaining, stocking, preparing, and cleaning all areas of the bovine barn including the chutes and trucks for farm calls; billing; assisting doctors with all aspects of bovine medicine as required; all exterior maintenance and grounds work, such as cutting grass, trimming weeds, general parking lot maintenance, etc.  This list is not the complete work description; however it provides a basic idea of some of the tasks required.  A full work description will be available at an interview, if you are selected for this step.
